Getting Started

Getting Started

From install to first post
in under five minutes.

Follow this guide to get SMMart Manager set up and publishing your first post. No technical knowledge required.

1

Install SMMart Manager

Go to Plugins → Add New in your WordPress dashboard. Search for “SMMart Manager”, click Install Now, then Activate. Or download directly from WordPress.org and upload the ZIP via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.

Requirements: WordPress 6.0+, WooCommerce 7.0+, PHP 7.4+. SMMart Manager will not activate without WooCommerce installed and active.

2

Open SMMart Manager in your sidebar

After activation, SMMart Manager appears in your WordPress admin sidebar. Click it to open the main dashboard. You’ll see your current usage, connection status, and the post generation panel.

3

Connect your Facebook Business Page

Click “Connect Facebook”. You’ll go through Meta’s standard OAuth authorisation flow — the same process as connecting any app to Facebook. Log into the Facebook account that manages your Business Page, approve the permissions, and you’ll be redirected back to SMMart Manager automatically.

You need a Facebook Business Page — not a personal profile. Create one at facebook.com/pages/create if you don’t have one yet.

4

Connect Instagram (optional)

If you have an Instagram Business account connected to your Facebook Page, you’ll see the option to connect it. This enables SMMart Manager to post to both platforms simultaneously in one action.

Instagram posting requires an Instagram Business or Creator account connected to your Facebook Page via Meta Business Suite.

5

Generate and publish your first post

Select a product from your WooCommerce catalogue in the SMMart Manager dashboard. Click “Generate Post”. SMMart Manager reads your product data and writes benefit-led captions for Facebook and Instagram. Review them, then click Publish. Your carousel goes live on both platforms, with the UTM link automatically added as the first Facebook comment.

6

Set up the Post Scheduler (paid plans)

On Starter, Professional, or Agency plans, open the Post Scheduler tab. Select your posting days, set your times, choose a product category or build a manual queue, and set your rotation preference. Save your settings and SMMart Manager will post on your schedule automatically every week — without you needing to log in.
